What's On @ Wollongong's Project Contemporary Artspace

Every Artist Was First An Amateur is an initiative of the Curriculum Network Illawarra (CNI) Visual Arts network, proudly funded by the NSW Department of Education’s Arts Unit.

This annual exhibition celebrates the creativity, talent and artistic achievements of young artists from public high schools across the Illawarra.

Showcasing a diverse range of artworks by Year 10 and 11 Visual Arts, Photography and Design students, the exhibition provides emerging artists with a valuable opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting, share their creative voices and connect with the wider community.

Opening night: 3 November 2026 - 6 PM at the gallery.
