We're pleased to welcome back 'Taras the Electric Harpist' performing at the opening night of the Still Life Painting Prize (Saturday 8th February 2025). Taras is a Sydney based musician who specialises in composition and performance with his electric harp.

Taras seamlessly transitioned from a career in professional wrestling to enchant audiences with the celestial sounds of his electric harp. Beginning as a busker, Taras quickly captured attention, earning features on Buzzfeed, Xplore Sydney, and Humans of Newtown.

His performances have graced esteemed venues like the Sydney Opera House, showcasing his talent across Australia. Taras holds world records for longest lyre playing and making the world's first 3D printed harp, solidifying his status as a trailblazer in the music world.

Not content with confining himself to one art form, Taras ventured into acting in 2017, securing a spot in a Foxtel commercial alongside Chris Hemsworth and went on to represent UDL as part of their Unfluencer campaign. This foray into the world of acting showcased his diverse talents and further established him as a multifaceted artist.
